Full Job Description
Wild Leaven Bakery is looking to hire a dependable, experienced, and good attitude team member to support our Head Baker with our operations. This is an hourly, part-time position. In this position, the team member will both play the role of baker and cashier, but will primarly provide some assistance with food-related tasks.
Preferred qualifications
o High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and industry experience
o Basic knowledge and interest in different bread baking techniques and our bakery
Job responsibilities and duties
o Open and close cash's registrar during our open days
o Prep and put back food items at the beginning and the end of shifts
o Slice, bag, organize and pack wholesale orders of bread as needed
o Ensure compliance with food health and safety regulations
o Perform food quality control as needed
o Maintain positive customer service with business partners and customers
o Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance
o Excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills
o Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
o Be a good team player with positive attitude and excellent attention to detail
o Help team to prep, set up, and sell our food items at the Taos Farmers Market held from May and October, every year

Physical and Other Requirements
o Must be available for all shifts
o Must be able to keep a positive attitude while working under pressure work
o Must have a reliable mean of transportation
o Must be able to do basic trade math (i.e. margin calculations, shrink tracking, etc.)
o Must be able to stand and lift at least 50 pounds occasionally
o Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, squat, reach overhead and side to side throughout shifts
o Must possess hand/finger dexterity
o Must be able to safely maneuver around moving mechanical parts
o Must be able to work in extreme cold and hot environments on an occasional basis
o Must be able to work with extreme heat from ovens
o Must be able to work extended hours and varying work schedule as dictated by the business
o Must have some basic computer skills
o Waiting period applies
o State Food safety training & certification not required upon hire. The company will pay for one that must be successfully completed afterward.
